1st Parle Mahotsav

To celebrate new Millenuim Parle Mahotsav started in Dec 1999. As many as 2750 participants participated in 8 competitions. While witnessing first round of group dance competition, local cable operator Mr. Sudharshan Gurav suggested that the participants were performing really well. He further added that finals should take place on a big ground rather than a small hall. As per his suggestions finals were held on Sathye college ground. Singing, dance and group dance competitions were telecast live on cable channel. Even the ground was packed to the capacity with the audience! .

2nd Parle Mahotsav

In 2nd Parle Mahotsav, many outdoor sports such as Kabbadi, Football, Mallakhamb, Cricket were also intorduced. Looking at earlier year`s response, even first round of group dance competition was held in an open ground. Ever since Sathye college has given excellent co-operation to make this event happen on their premises that too free of cost!

3rd Parle Mahotsav

The 3rd Parle Mahotsav was organized so as to accommodate more number of participants in more number of competitions. Hence Parle Mahotsav took place during Diwali Vacations rather than in Christmas vacations. This resulted in increased number of participants in competitions like carom, classical dance, Pool etc.

The attraction of this year`s Parle Mahotsav was award winning one act play "Kailaswasi Parle" performed by Makarand Deshpande and Milind Ingale. It was written & Directed by Dr Anil Bandwadekar and music was composed by Vikas Bhatawdekar. This play had won many prizes for 3 consecutive years in era of 80`s & was performed after a long time by old team of NM college that used to perform the same earlier./p>

Annu Kapur arrived for just 5 minutes to watch dance competition. But he liked the performance so much that he cancelled his next meeting & watched the entire competition. He insisted on taking a photograph with participants to honour them.

4th Parle Mahotsav

4th Parle Mahotsav was made memorable by performances of celebrities like Akshay Kumar, Sonu Nigam, Bali Brahmabhat & with mimicry act of Mojes Rao.

As per suggestion given by editor of `Aamhi Parlekar` by Mr. Dhynanesh Chandekar, out of 17 competitions 15 competitions were held on Dubhashi Ground adjacent to Sathye College. Since thousands of participants participate in 6 days in 15 different competitions on same venue, the magical atmosphere of `Mahotsav` can be truly experienced!

5th Parle Mahotsav

Many earlier participants of Parle Mahotsav demanded that the competition should be made open to participants outside the boundaries of Vile Parle too. Respecting their opinion Parle Mahotsav was made open to participants across Mumbai. This further helped in enhancing the level of the competitions resulting in both qualitative and quantitative growth of Parle Mahotsav too.

To take Parle Mahotsav to this next level, it was publicized by banners and hoardings all across the Mumbai. Many stalls were put up near Major schools and colleges.

6th Parle Mahotsav

This year the number of competitions were increased to 21. Due large number of participants, competitions were held consecutively for 7 days at Dubhasi ground.

7th Parle Mahotsav

A logo for Parle Mahotsav was conceptualized & created this year by Mr Anand Khasbardar of Nirmitee Arts. A title song of Parle Mahotsav was also released this year. It was written by Dr Anil Bandwadekar and music was composed by Mr. Vikas Bhatwadekar.

8th Parle Mahotsav

Due to the elections Parle Mahotsav could not be held in December 2006, instead it was held next year in 2007 December.

Along with Logo and title song, a special promotional campaign was done by Branding on Mobile hoardings, Bus stops and Bus panels. On the same year an effort was made to give Parle Mahotsav a different look with SMS, Website & Email campaigns.

Number of competitions held rose to 22. As many as 18,000 participants participated in the Marathon that was held.

9th Parle Mahotsav

It was feared that due to terrorist attack on 26 November not many people would turn out for Parle Mahotsav. But almost 5000 participated in "Anti Terrorism Rally" conducted at opening ceremony of Parle Mahotsav.

A rare sport, `Touch Rugby` was also introduced during this year. As many as 50 teams from all over India participated in this competition. A team from Bangalore also participated in this competition.

A competition based on the concept of Home Minister was also held this year. 500 women participated in this to make it a huge success

10th Parle Mahotsav

This year was special too. To celebrate 10th year of Parle Mahotsav an unique concept of "Kalechi Palkhi" was organized. A statue of Nataraj was kept inside the Palakhi. Many celebrities attended this celebration

11th Parle Mahotsav

This has been a record breaking Mahotsav. A whopping 25,000 (as compared to 2750 in first year) participants participated in 11th Parle Mahotsav. This was managed by more than 800 volunteers (as compared to 70 in first year) and 750 prizes (as compared to 75 prizes in first year).

12th Parle Mahotsav

Two competitions, Boxing and Yoga, were introduced in this Mahotsav taking the overall competition tally to 38. For the first time in the history of Parle Mahotsav, the finals of all the sporting events were held simultaneously in a specially built mega-stadium which had a spectator capacity of 25,000. The results were immediately updated on website.

13th Parle Mahotsav

Two competitions, Elocution and Antakshari, were introduced in this Mahotsav taking the overall competition tally to 40. The 12th Parle Mahotsav had close to 25,000 participants (an increase of about 25% over the previous year) which eventually led to giving away of over 700 prizes. For the first time in the history of Parle Mahotsav, the finals of all the sporting events were held simultaneously in a specially built mega-stadium which had a spectator capacity of 25,000. 14th Parle Mahotsav
